Well weekend is boring for me, right now because most of the weekend I spend my time at home without going out. It was very BORING sometimes....What I do on my weekend? Watch DVD, do cleaning, play my PS2 or cook new recipe because I enjoy explore new RECIPE hahaha....Sometime sleep WHOLE day~! Morning I wake up eat breakfast and noon I sleep again....then evening I wake up eat and take shower then few hours later I sleep again -________-" lol~!

This is a new scam.... best to be aware about it.....let your family members know about this.

Dear all

I cannot stop myself from sharing this with all of you.

Its all started when I received a call from someone claiming that he was from Maxis and he asked me to shutdown my phone for 2 hours for 3g update to take place. As I was rushing for a meeting, I did not question and shutdown my cell phone.

After 45 minutes I felt very suspicious since the caller did not even introduce his name. I quickly turned on my cell phone and I received several calls from my family members and the others were from the number that had called me earlier - 3954380.

I called my parents and I was shocked that they sounded very worried asking me whether I am safe. My parents told me that they had received a call from someone claiming that they had me with them and asking for money to let me free. The call was so real and my parents even heard 'my voice' crying out loud asking for help. My parent was at the bank waiting for next call to proceed for money transfer. I told my parents that I am safe and asked them to lodge a police report.

Right after that I received another call from the guy asking me to shutdown my cell phone for another 1 hour which I refused to do and hung up. They keep calling my cell phone until the battery had run down. I myself lodged a police report and I was informed by the officer that there were many such scams reported. MOST of the cases reported that the victim had already transferred the money! And it is impossible to get back the money.

Be careful as this kind of scam might happened to any of us!!! Those guys are so professional and very convincing during calls. If you are asked to shut down your cell phone for updates by the service provider, ASK AROUND! Your family or friends might receive the same call.

After the blood donation I feel very thirsty I can drink about 4L water in a day. Normally I seldom drink water about 3 cups plain water a day very little. Caused of the 4L water a day I have to go to toilet every half hours very troublesome to me....but in fact drink water is good for body...If our body short of water it will make us become fat too because of the hormone. No wonder I am FAT~!

Box Office the place to buy ticket

I enjoyed watch movie at MBO at Kuching. It was great cinema that I ever been. I like the lighting and the design of the cineplex. High standard and comfortable too. That day I went there watch The Lighting Thief it was really long queue. We queuing over there almost half hours and there were 3 rows in front of the box office. We wait patiently cause we really wanted to watch the movie. The ticket for the Lighting Thief almost finished we have no any choice to find a better seat. This was my first time sitting at the front of the cinema. Very tired because have to watch the movie with my head up. Too many peoples in there just realized that day was Saturday sure a lots of peoples going out to do their activities...LOL~!

Another day I went cinema to watch Alice In the Wonderland in 3D it was cool by seeing the screen floating out the screen. This is the first time I watched 3D in the cinema, it is fresh for me although it look odd. It is really cool~!

Currently working at Kuching and it is different from Miri. Over here early morning I can see traffic jam even back home also traffic jam waste a lots of time on road. The places are far away, so the transport is very important in Kuching. Everyone is very busy over here and things over is cheaper. I miss Miri as well because I not get to use at Kuching yet. The benefit I gain in Kuching is learn how to be independent since I depend on my family so much and there are much more to learn.

Shrimps Omelets with Oyster Sauce Recipe

2 Dried Chinese Mushroom

400 g Raw Prawns

3 tablespoons Cooking oil

5 cm Finely grated fresh ginger

1/2 cups Drained canned bamboo shoots,
roughly chopped

6 Chopped Spring Onions

5 Eggs

2 tablespoons Water

1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Ground white pepper

3 tablespoons Oyster sauce

2 tablespoons Soy sauce

2 tablespoons Chinese rice wine

2 teaspoons Water
1 teaspoon Sliced spring onion for garnish

Method :

Soak the mushrooms in hot water for 20 minutes or until it is softened. Then drain and slice them finely, discarding the hard stem.
Peel and de-vein the prawns before chopping it up roughly.
Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a wok and stir-fry the ginger and prawn meat over very high heat for about 2 minutes before transferring to a plate.
Add the bamboo shoots, spring onion and mushrooms and stir-fry for 1 minute. Transfer to a plate and wipe the wok clean with paper towel.
Beat the eggs, water, salt and pepper in a bowl until foamy. Add the remaining oil to the wok, swirling it around to coat the base and sides.
Heat the wok until it is extremely hot and the oil is slightly smoking. Give the egg mixture a quick whisk again and pour it into the very hot wok, Swirling the wok a little so the egg mixture coats the side to 1/2 cm thickness.
Cook for 1 minute. Using a slotted spoon to drain away any juices, carefully and quickly spoon the prawn and bamboo shoot mixture over the omelet. Gently lift the edge of the omelet with a spatula and tilt the wok so some of the uncooked egg from the centre runs underneath.
Repeat this at a couple of different places around the omelet.
Cook for about 2 minutes until the base is crisp brown and has set. Divide the omelet into 4 or 5 sections, cutting it with the spatula, and turn each section over to cook the other side.
When each section is lightly set underneath, transfer it to a platter, arranging the slices as they were in the wok.
Add the oyster sauce, soy sauce and rice wine to the wok. Mix the cornflour and water and add to the wok, stirring constantly until the sauce boils and thickens slightly.
Spoon over the omelet, garnish with spring onion and serve.

The competition was organized by SY company. There are a lots of SY companies with different company's name. The competition was divided to 2 groups that is Men Group and Women Group. I followed Shiline Sdn Bhd. Each group got 3 persons.

I just started to play the bowling this year and I dare to join the company's competition because it is FUN~! Not a really Big Deal if lost cause every competition got Win and Lost :D

Was your Mum mean? I know mine was. We had the

We were ashamed to admit it, but she had the nerve
to break the Child Labor Laws by making us work We
had to wash the dishes, make the beds, learn to
cook, vacuum the floor, do laundry, empty the trash
and all sorts of cruel jobs. I think she would lie
awake at night thinking of more things for us to do.

She always insisted on us telling the truth, the
whole truth, and nothing but the truth. By the time
we were teenagers, she could read our minds and had
eyes in the back of her head. Then, life was really tough!

Mother wouldn't let our friends just honk the horn
when they drove up. They had to come up to the door
so she could meet them. While everyone else could
date when they were 12 or 13, we had to wait until we were 16.

Because of our mother we missed out on lots of
things other kids experienced. None of us have ever
been caught shoplifting, vandalising other's
property or ever arrested for any crime. It was all her fault.

Now that we have left home, we are all educated,
honest adults. We are doing our best to be mean
parents just like Mum was.

I think that is what's wrong with the world today.
It just doesn't have enough mean mums!

I am Happy :D I been transferred to another office by same company. I feel comfortable working here and the quarter is provided including my daily foods. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided by company. So far so Good :D The colleagues are good too. They are funny, friendly and kind. I worked at store department as Store Assistant. The store only have 2 girls work including me. My colleague named Cheryl she is from Philippines and she is the only girl in the store before I join in. She is my companion in the office and the quarter. I been working at there 1 week already. I hope I can learn a lots from there and the colleagues will help me a lots. The most important things I hope can work happily there without any politic with colleagues cause it will be very hard work with the one who are not compatible with you.

Well at the moment I enjoy working at Piasau Slipways cause I have many things to learn. Everything are new for me. The store department colleagues majority are men. I bring my baby hamster with me stay in the quarter. Yesterday I bring back my hamster with its mom. But kinda shocked cause it already lost, maybe mommy hamster eat it again =.=" Scary thing I have ever seen hamster eat own baby....Another thing is my quarter is quite good and I bought the stuff for my daily use more that RM150. Most important thing the company provided everything for me already. I can save a lots at my food and my electricity bill, water bill are cover by company it was FREE~! It is convenient go to work too cause the quarter is not far from the company...

JUST A SMALL BUT MEANINGFUL INFO FR MY FRIEND TO YOU AND YR FRIENDS...HER PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF H1N1 SINCE IT PRACTICALLY HIT US LIKE A TIME BOMB.....

My staff was crying herself sick on Tuesday morning...was told that her son was confirmed of H1N1 in his Uni at Kangar, Perlis...worse was that when he was bedridden 2 days the warden didnt even bother to sent to hospital till his dad came fm KL and with his friends assistance brought him to GH Kangar....

No one bothered in the hospital and he was put in the normal ward for another 2 days!!! (imagine the amount of people he has infected!!) .....after 2 days and his eyes were turning yellow and saliva greenish...he was put in quarantined room...

His mom practically fainted just telling me the story.. cant do much cos she does not have enough money to go to the north with the father...

First thing we did was made her call the hospital and insist that they sent him to Sg.Buloh Hospital or any other hospital in KL since they seemed to be more alert and more equipt...they refused of course...so I sent her off to Kangar the same day to solve the problem.

Whilst this was happening, I had a call from one Ustaz who was in town to "help cure" another H1N1 child in Shah Alam....and was told this simple prescription by him.....

EAT MINIMUM 6 GREEN APPLES A DAY AND FRESH ORANGE JUICE
for those with sore throat please blend the apples and keep on taking till your fever disappear and yr symtoms are gone....I cannot explain it but the child in Shah Alam was ok too after taking this tip....

my staff's son was given the apple juice for the whole day on Monday/Tuesday and he was out of the fever yesterday Wednesday... .she called me and was crying on the phone to say that her son was out of ICU and was able to eat normally...all these happened within just 4 days today (thursday 6 august)...

This is just to share with my fellow sisters and brothers and hope this small info could assist others as well, No harm in trying and anything can happen!!!!

CHINA EARTHQUAKE STRIPS

Hello. This is Coco Wang. As you know the breaking news of 5.12 Earthquake in China, almost all the TV channels in China are broadcasting 24 hours non-stop of every development and stories of all the rescue operations in all damaged locations.

I don't know how much information the BBC or any UK media received from us, I imagine the UK audiences were presented with the major developments of the incident, but you are probably unaware of many important and inside details which are only known to people inside China.

The amount of incredibly moving stories of victims, rescuers, and volunteers is simply shocking at the moment. I have been collecting newspapers of all the stories, and telling them in the form of comic strips. I hope these stories could show the UK readers the love, warmth and courage of the Chinese people, also the sad and cruel reality of the horrible 5.12 Earthquake.

I am back home in Beijing now. Thousands of heart-breaking stories are happening 24 hours non-stop everyday, some are so sad that you can hardly bear, some are incredibly moving that you just can't stop crying... I wanted to go to the front to help with all those people, some of my friends have already gone there, but I heard that the traffic needed to be kept totally clear for rescue transportation at the moment, people like me without knowledge of first-aid and experience of rescue operations going there now would cause choas and trouble... but I can't just sit at home and do nothing, I have been crying my eyes out in the past three days, I have never felt more proud of my country and people... their love, courage and kindness rock me to my core! I have decided to tell these touching stories by drawing comics. I am going to send you comic strips almost everyday from now on, I hope you could know something about the earthquake in China, although you don't have to do anything, but I hope you could feel our love and hope.

I don't know what you guys are paying for petrol... but here in Durban, we are also paying higher, up to 47.35 per litre. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every litre.

Here at the Marian Hill Pipeline, where I work in Durban, we deliver about 4 million litres in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline.

One day is diesel; the next day is jet fuel, and petrol, LRP and Unleaded. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 litres.

ONLY BUY OR FILL UP YOUR CAR OR BIKKIE IN THE EARLY MORNING WHEN THE GROUND TEMPERATURE IS STILL COLD. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground, the denser the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening.... your litre is not exactly a litre.

In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products play an important role. A 1degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

WHEN YOU'RE FILLING UP, DO NOT SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER OF THE NOZZLE TO A FAST MODE. If you look, you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode, you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that are created, while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour. Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS IS TO FILL UP WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL. The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank, the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.

Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated, so that every litre is actually the exact amount.

ANOTHER REMINDER, IF THERE IS A FUEL TRUCK PUMPING INTO THE STORAGE TANKS, WHEN YOU STOP TO BUY, DO NOT FILL UP - most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.

Hope, this will help you get the maximum value for your money.

Long time do not blogging since my house line been cut off. Today just asking the TM people come to my house to fix it. Well my mother so 'Geng' called Telecom 1 time then the men came to my house. The reason I said she is GENG cause I called for more that three times they keep giving me the same answer we will fixed it in 24 hours working time. Lol so i keep on waiting lol... last called the girl tell me the line at my area not good. She asked me wait until Saturday. Since my mom call to 100 so I not need to wait until tomorrow. So that's why I can update my blog today hehehe~~

I am so happy go to see yesterday night because I got chance to see pretty girls on the stage making show at Mega Hotel, Miri. Some of the show was very funny. They dance very well and wear very pretty. The contestant are come from 37 countries. Maybe some of them are local they only use the other country name for the contest. We enjoy the show and the dinner at that night. The first winner and the favorite of the night is Miss Israel. The best national costume go to Miss Parague. I got her picture but not clear and at last I cannot grab more picture cause my camera no more battery. Too bad... I like to see them dancing cause it was very steady and some of the dance is very funny till I cannot stop laughing. They really how to make up and dress themselves very pretty~!!! They know how to dance very well~ I enjoyed watching it that night. They know to make all the audience at that night feel very happy. So next time if got this kind of show again I sure we go again.

This game a bit same like Ragnarok only the character and the scenery is not the same. Justice War quite easy to play because you just play by clicking the mouse. I am happy now cause I found a job which is I think suitable for me. Now I working at Shin Yang Shipyard, it is far away from my living place. I go work by company van and eat lunch at company's canteen. It is FREE~!!!!! Free TRANSPORT and Free LUNCH~!!!! Sound Good huh? At least I can learn account from many 'Sifu' which is working right there. If compare to my former company, there is no one teach me account, so that is hard for me to settle all undone work by the former colleagues.

Sound very good huh??!!??!! The salary at there also quite good and my post at there is Account Assistant. Look like so many good things I tell here but also got bad thing la... Every times I want go to work or back to work, I will be very SCARE~!!! .... You Why???? Argghhhh~~~ the destination go to work damn FAR... Almost 1 hour cause not only me in the van... Time is nothing BUT I just feel uncomfortable in the van. I feel want to vomit in the van. Already 2 days I do not eat dinner after go down from the van... -_-" That is the hard thing that I have to face everyday from now on.... I want to faith liao when see the VAN....

I don't save my special perfume for special occasions, I use it whenever I want to. The words 'Someday..' and 'One Day...' are fading away from my dictionary. If it's worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now. I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew she wouldn't be there the next morning, this nobody can tell. I think she might have called her relatives and closest friends.
She might call old friends to make peace over past quarrels. I'd like to think she would go out for Chinese, her favorite food. It's these small things that I would regret not doing, if I knew my time had come.

I would regret it, because I would no longer see the friends I would meet, letters... that I wanted to write

'One of these days'.

I would regret and feel sad, because I didn't say to my brother and sisters, son and daughters, not times enough at least, how much I love them.

Now, I try not to delay, postpone or keep anything that could bring laughter and joy into our lives..
And, each morning, I say to myself that this could be a special day..
Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.

I am happy that I have caring family that always support me in whatever I have done. Even while I said they will come to comfort me. That is the happiest thing in my life. They never go away from me when I need them. During happy time they also come along. We have been do so many happy thing together although sometimes we all are busy at work but we can still spend sometimes together while we are free. We go picnic together, watch movie together, go for dinner together and etc. That's why I told my friends how important family are. I know sometimes maybe I make my parents mad but they do always forgive me and give me chances to change. Thanks God that I have a Happy Family with Happy Moment all the time I with them.

I got this from my mail box just want to share with you all... That person that 'I' is not me. Just for sharing.

A while ago heard that my friend's brother-in law's mother was cheated

of 350,000. And today, this thing happened to me, until now, when I
think of it, I still feel numb all over. Only difference is that they
did not manage to cheat my money.

This afternoon, I was still in the office on my computer when my
handphone rang, I picked it up, but no answer on the other side. I hung
up, but it rang again, I looked but there was no registered no, I
picked up the phone and again no one on line. This happened for many
mnay time, I did hear some soft voices of a few man on the other side
but could not hear exactly what they are saying. This went on and on,
my phone just did not stop ringing. Then I remembered what I read in
the newspapers and decided to call home. But I kept calling and could
not get through to my house no and no one picked up on my mother's
handphone. Meantime, my handphone did not stop ringing. I was getting
really worried and finally managed to get through to home and my mother
picked up the phone. She was crying and kept asking me where I was.
When I told her I was at the office, she would not believe me and I
needed to reassure her that yes, I am in the office.

I found out that someone called my mother telling them that I borrowed
120,000 from them and asked her to bring that money immediately for my
release. They even had someone screaming at the side pretending to be
me 'Mum, I am xxxx, come save me quick'... My mother was so scared and
the party kept my mother on the line with a lot of rubbish, refusing to
let her hang up. Kept telling my mother to prepare the money to save
me. Luckily I called home, other wise my mother would have gone to
prepare the money.

Please be careful.....

1. The cheaters thought that if they keep calling my handphone,
I will feel really annoyed n switch off my handphone then my mother will
not be able to contact me.

2.The cheaters must have also kept her on the phone all the
time so as not to give her time to call me to confirm my safety.
Please go home and tell your family, so if they meet the same
situation, do not worry, do not panic. Call around to check, many
phones you can use. If your handphone also ring non-stop like mine, do
not switch off your handphone.
Call home immediately to check. Let
your family know that you are ok.

These few days I do not play Maple Story anymore because the server down. Since like cannot play Maple Story so I go to play Gunbound. This us what I do while finished work and have nothing to do. No game, watch movies with friends or just watch alone at home. Last few days I bought Bleach DVDs but that is not with English subtitle too bad… I have to learn Chinese I guess but have to take long time. It is not hard to learn Chinese actually only I lazy to learn. These few days while I checking my blog I always see some comment posted by unknown people. Lol but I never click the link because maybe it might be spyware or virus. Maybe they have nothing to do just simply add a comment. The comments with the link sometimes really annoying so just don’t bother the link and don’t click. Now around the road at Miri we can see a lots DAP & BN advertisements and the small and big flags hanging around the round. Sometimes I want to laugh because I see their advertisement plate must be higher that other opponent (BN Vs. DAP) or (DAP Vs. BN) This year I cannot vote yet cause I not yet register.

Long time do not blogging today start to blog again. Since Chinese New Year until now I have not go to my account class because the time too rush. I think I want to change time to study my account  weekdays to weekend. Maybe tonight will go to class again if enough time. I still have many things have to learn. Normally, we cook the instant noodles by putting the noodles into a pot
with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for 3 mins .
This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles.

By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder,
normally with MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG
causing it to be toxic. The other thing that you may or may not realized is
that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days
for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles.

So the CORRECT method, which you may or may not know,
is to cook the noodles this way –

1. boil the noodles in a pot with water.
2. once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles,
and throw away the water which contains wax.
3. boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the
hot boiling water and then shut the fire.
4. only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very
hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make
noodle soup.
5. however, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles n add the
ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles.

Hope this piece of information is of importance to your health
in relation to eating instant noodles and please apply this cooking method with immediate effect.

Cookies and Buns

Today Allysa come to my house making cookies our cookies is not a cookies cause fail to do hahaa....like cake ahhaaha soft really soft ahahhaa..... Then after she going back I make buns... yeah the bun is bun...no more look like cake hahaha

Today I going to talk about cancer seem like people surrounding me some got cancer. Well one of my parents friend got cancer and passed away few days ago. She got a brain cancer. Maybe her working place to dirty with the ciggrette smoke and everyday face have to smell the smoke... or maybe other effect that making she got a cancer. I even heard if eat maggie mee too much also will get CANCER. Cancer will cause to DEATH. So beware before you got this kind of dangerous diseases.

Cancer is a group of diseases in which cells are aggressive (grow and divide without respect to normal limits), invasive (invade and destroy adjacent tissues), and sometimes metastatic (spread to other locations in the body). These three malignant properties of cancers differentiate them from benign tumors, which are self-limited in their growth and don't invade or metastasize (although some benign tumor types are capable of becoming malignant). Cancer may affect people at all ages, even fetuses, but risk for the more common varieties tends to increase with age.[1] Cancer causes about 13% of all deaths.[2] According to the ACS, 7.6 million people died from cancer in the world during 2007.[3] Apart from humans, forms of cancer may affect other animals and plants.

Nearly all cancers are caused by abnormalities in the genetic material of the transformed cells. These abnormalities may be due to the effects of carcinogens, such as tobacco smoke, radiation, chemicals, or infectious agents. Other cancer-promoting genetic abnormalities may be randomly acquired through errors in DNA replication, or are inherited, and thus present in all cells from birth. Complex interactions between carcinogens and the host genome may explain why only some develop cancer after exposure to a known carcinogen. New aspects of the genetics of cancer pathogenesis, such as DNA methylation, and microRNAs are increasingly being recognized as important.

Genetic abnormalities found in cancer typically affect two general classes of genes. Cancer-promoting oncogenes are often activated in cancer cells, giving those cells new properties, such as hyperactive growth and division, protection against programmed cell death, loss of respect for normal tissue boundaries, and the ability to become established in diverse tissue environments. Tumor suppressor genes are often inactivated in cancer cells, resulting in the loss of normal functions in those cells, such as accurate DNA replication, control over the cell cycle, orientation and adhesion within tissues, and interaction with protective cells of the immune system.

Cancer is usually classified according to the tissue from which the cancerous cells originate, as well as the normal cell type they most resemble. These are location and histology, respectively. A definitive diagnosis usually requires the histologic examination of a tissue biopsy specimen by a pathologist, although the initial indication of malignancy can be symptoms or radiographic imaging abnormalities. Most cancers can be treated and some cured, depending on the specific type, location, and stage. Once diagnosed, cancer is usually treated with a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. As research develops, treatments are becoming more specific for different varieties of cancer. There has been significant progress in the development of targeted therapy drugs that act specifically on detectable molecular abnormalities in certain tumors, and which minimize damage to normal cells. The prognosis of cancer patients is most influenced by the type of cancer, as well as the stage, or extent of the disease. In addition, histologic grading and the presence of specific molecular markers can also be useful in establishing prognosis, as well as in determining individual treatments.

'Before they call, I will answer'

This story was written by a doctor who worked in South Africa.

One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died leaving us with a tiny premature baby
and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive, as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator).

We also had no special feeding facilities. Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool that the baby would be wrapped in.

Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst (rubber perishes easily in tropical climates). 'And it is our last hot water bottle!' she exclaimed. As in the West, it is no good crying over spilled milk so in Central Africa it might be considered no
good crying over burst water bottles. They do not grow on trees, and there are no drugstores down forest pathways.

'All right,' I said, 'put the baby as near the fire as you safely can, and sleep between the baby and the door to keep it free from drafts. Your job is to keep the baby warm.'

The following noon, as I did most days, I went to have prayers with any of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me. I gave the youngsters various suggestions of things to pray about and told them about the tiny baby. I explained our problem about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle, and that the baby could so easily die if it got chills. I also told them of the two-year-old sister, crying because her mother had died.

During prayer time, one ten-year old girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual blunt conciseness of our African children. 'Please, God' she prayed, 'send us a water bottle. It'll be no good tomorrow, God, as the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon.' While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added, 'And while You are about it, would You please send a dolly for the little girl so she'll know You really love her?'

As often with children's prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I honestly say, 'Amen'? I just did not believe that God could do this. Oh, yes, I know that He can do everything, the Bible says so. But there are limits, aren't there? The only way God could answer this particular prayer would be by sending me a parcel from homeland. I had been in Africa for almost four years at that time, and I had never, ever received a parcel from home.
Anyway, if anyone did send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I lived on the equator! Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the nurses' training school, a message was sent that there was a car at my front door.

By the time I reached home, the car had gone, but there, on the veranda, was a large twenty-two pound parcel. I felt tears pricking my eyes. I could not open the parcel alone, so I sent for the orphanage children. Together we pulled off the string, carefully undoing each knot. We folded
the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly. Excitement was mounting. Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were focused on the large cardboard box. From the top, I lifted out brightly colored, knitted jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out. Then there were the knitted bandages
for the leprosy patients, and the children looked a little bored. Then came a box of mixed raisins and sultanas - that would make a batch of buns
for the weekend Then, as I put my hand in again, I felt the.....could it really be? I grasped it and pulled it out - yes, a brand-new, rubber hot
water bottle. I cried. I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that He could. Ruth was in the front row of the children. She
rushed forward, crying out, 'If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the dolly too!'

Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small, beautifully dressed dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted!

Looking up at me, she asked: 'Can I go over with you and give this dolly to that little girl, so she'll know that Jesus really loves her?'

That parcel had been on the way for five whole months. Packed up by my former Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God's prompting to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator. And one of the girls had put in a dolly for an African child - five month s before, in answer to the believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it 'that afternoon.'

'Before they call, I will answer' (Isaiah 65:24) This awesome prayer takes less than a minute. When you receive this, say the prayer, that's all you have to do. No strings attached. Just send it on to whomever you want - but do send it on. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards.

Let's continue praying for one another Father, I ask you to bless my friends reading this right now. I am asking You to minister to their spirit at
this very moment. Where there is pain, give hem Your peace and mercy.
Where there is self doubting, release a renewed confidence to work through them. Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them
by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You. Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage.
Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders and friends to support and encourage them. Give each of them discernment
to recognize the evil forces around them, and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it. I ask you to do these things in Jesus'
name.
